(FINE AND COARSE depict the average size of grains. FINE is suitable for all types of cactus, succulents, Plumerias, Adeniums and caudeciformes. While coarse is little larger grain than fine grain as some individuals prefer coarser grains for heavy rainfall area where pots are kept out etc.)

Unique Features :-

• Composition helps prevent fungi and bacteria.
• Prevents root nematodes from breeding and spreading.
• Provides good drainage for excess water, thus preventing root rot.
• However, the particles of media itself are of porous material which can retain water. This retained water is absorbed by root hairs of the plant.
• The slow evaporative release of water in inter granular spaces helps keep the roots cool in summers, without excessive water logging around the roots.
• Avoids salt build up in the pot and keeps the pH low.

How to use?

• You can use it directly for sensitive and rot prone plants and for others you can add upto 30 % vermi - compost or cocopeat by volume.
• You may evenly spread it on top soil in pots and use it as top dressing or mulch. This prevents loss of water from soil, prevents splashing of water and dirt on your plants. This gives a pretty backdrop to your plants. Plants will stand out better for photography etc.

Recommended for cacti and succulents with fine roots. You may add some fiber content like vermicompost, leaf mold and or cocopeat.
