Settled plant in growth stage.

Etymology
The genera name; Euphorbia dates back to the first century BC, where King Juba II of Mauritania used it in a reference to his doctor, Euphorbos, and that name was kept as a generic name by Carl von Linnaeus. The species name from after Ratmond Gerold's wife's maiden name: Waring.

Origin
Euphorbia waringiae is native to Madagascar, an island rich in unique and diverse ecosystems. Madagascar's distinct environmental conditions, featuring a combination of arid climates and unique soil compositions, have allowed for the evolution of many endemic species. Euphorbia waringiae is adapted to thrive in these challenging conditions, flourishing in areas characterized by rocky terrains and well-drained soils.

Description
This captivating succulent is known for its charismatic and compact form. Euphorbia waringiae typically displays thick, fleshy, and angular stems that may appear in shades ranging from green to bluish-gray. The architectural nature of the plant makes it a desirable choice for collectors seeking a unique visual appeal in their succulent gardens. The plant produces small, cyathium-like flowers that are common within the Euphorbia family, adding subtle charm to its robust, sculptural appearance.

Conservation Status
Euphorbia waringiae, like many native plants of Madagascar, faces threats from habitat destruction, primarily due to agricultural expansion and deforestation. While the specific conservation status may not be precisely cataloged, the need for protective measures is critical. Conservation efforts are necessary to safeguard this species, focusing on habitat restoration and sustainable cultivation practices to prevent further decline. This is a nursery produced plant from Seeds.

Care
Caring for Euphorbia waringiae is straightforward, making it a suitable addition for both novice and experienced gardeners. It requires well-draining soil, such as a specialized cactus or succulent potting mix, and thrives best under bright, indirect sunlight. Watering should be minimal, with a focus on allowing the soil to dry out completely between watering sessions to avoid water retention issues. The plant should be protected from cold conditions, ideally kept in temperatures above 50°F (10°C). When handling, be mindful of the milky latex sap, which can be irritating to the skin and eyes. Occasional feeding with a diluted, balanced fertilizer during the growing season can support its growth and maintain its health and vigor.
