The cultivar name 'Gratitude' was assigned by hybridizers to reflect the plant’s prolific flowering nature, often viewed as a "reward" or "thank you" for minimal care. This specific hybrid is part of a modern lineage of Schick-type crosses bred for complex color gradients.
2. Morphology: This specimen exhibits a dark-green, globose epidermis with prominent vertical costae (ribs) that facilitate expansion during hydration. It is characterized by its polychromatic bloom: the perianth segments (petals) transition from candy-pink at the tips to a warm orange at the base.
