Gasterias or Ox Tongue Plants
These are native to South Africa. Named after the word, 'Gaster' which means stomach, because of their flowers which have this strange shape. They have thick flat leaves and are extremely slow growing. Because of their leaf shape and texture, they are also called Ox - Tongue. Anatomy indeed !!!!
