1. Origin & History of Name: The genus name Lobivia is an anagram of Bolivia, the country of its primary distribution. The specific epithet pygmaea denotes its dwarf stature, while the varietal name iscayachensis references its type locality near Iscayachi. The "R335B" designation is a field collector number attributed to the renowned botanist Walter Rausch, ensuring genetic traceability for serious enthusiasts.
2. Morphology: This specimen features a globose to short-cylindrical epidermis (outer skin) of dark grey-green. It possesses distinct vertical costae (ribs) divided into small tubercles.
