Product Details

21 Square Meters of UV stabilized Net ( Size:4.2m X 5 m) White (Nylon Monofilament) WHITE

Nylon Monofilament nets are long lasting nets.

Summer Sun light which falls into balconies and verandas for only a short while while sun makes a fiery arc across the sky causes Sun Burns on Cacti and Succulents because they are not used to the harsh sun as they are in shade for most part of the day.

A 40 % shade net gives dappled shade . This width and length is ideal for draping over balconies.

All you need to do is stitch it with a cord or rope.

A loose shade net gives dappled shade because of movement of net in wind and the movement of sun.

Thick and heavy Shade nets which are meant for foliage plants like ferns and Bromeliads.

Ideal for North India in summer months of May and June.

Plants which are kept in balconies which have only afternoon direct sunshine for a couple of hours are more prone to scorching. They do need shade nets to protect the plants from the intensity of sunlight as the plant is more accustomed to staying in shade. So, a shade net hung across the balcony helps the plants in intense summers.

Advantages of White Shade Net over Black or Green Shade Nets

White shade nets are unique in their ability to maximize light diffusion, making them superior in applications requiring soft, uniform lighting conditions. Unlike black or green nets, which primarily absorb or filter specific wavelengths, white nets are highly reflective and scatter sunlight in all directions. This diffusive property reduces the direct harshness of sunlight, resulting in a gentle, uniform light environment that minimizes the risk of sunburn and photosynthetic stress, especially for delicate foliage plants such as ferns and succulents. The evenly distributed light helps in reducing temperature hotspots and prevents localized overheating, thus maintaining a more consistent microclimate. Furthermore, the high reflectivity of white shade nets enhances light penetration within the canopy, allowing lower leaves and shaded parts of the plant to receive adequate light, which promotes overall plant uniformity and robust growth.

From a thermal and energy efficiency perspective, white shade nets reflect a significant portion of incoming solar radiation, thereby reducing heat buildup beneath the covering. This reflective property diminishes temperature fluctuations and conserves water by lowering transpiration rates, crucial for maintaining optimal soil and ambient temperatures in hot climates. Additionally, white shade nets are favored in environments where visual aesthetics and natural light quality are paramount—such as in public gardens or transparent greenhouse covers—since they preserve the natural appearance and brightness of the area. This combination of high reflectivity, diffuse lighting, and thermal regulation makes white shade nets an ideal choice for sensitive plants and environments where maintaining natural light quality and temperature stability are priorities.
